My husband was shot by Baltimore police in 2015. Then wrongfully charged. Then locked in a cell for years while we fought to prove what we already knew.
There were moments I felt guilty about luxury. Moments where I stood in a hot shower thinking how am I going to enjoy this when he can't?
He had physical bars. I had emotional ones.
But self-care became our resistance.
Keith ordered from catalogs to stay fresh inside. Haircut right. Waves on point. He refused to let them strip his dignity. And me — I made sure every time I walked into that visiting room I smelled incredible. My skin was soft. I showed up like they couldn't break me.
He'd call me after every visit and say "I can still smell you."
For 7 years we showed up to every court date looking like the system couldn't touch us. Because it couldn't.
When he finally came home, I created the luxury we spent 7 years believing we didn't deserve. I started making things — oils, soufflés, serums. Not for a business. For permission. Permission to be soft again.
That's how Seventh Reign Lux was born. Not from a business plan. From a woman giving herself permission to have luxury again after years of believing she didn't deserve it.
Now I make that permission for other women too.

There was a moment when softness felt distant — a thing to reach for, not something to live inside.
Creating Seventh Reign Lux became my way back.
I learned that luxury isn’t about excess it’s about intention.
It’s the quiet rituals that restore you.
The scents that steady your spirit.
The textures that remind you you’re worthy of softness every day.
Fragrance has always been my language — my refuge.
The way certain notes can ground you, lift you, or wrap you in calm became its own form of therapy for me.
Scent became the doorway back to myself, and now it’s woven into everything I create.
I built this brand for women like me. Women who give everything to everyone else and forget they deserve softness too. Women who've been through something and need to feel beautiful again. That's who this is for.
